I have a friend that has a huge collection of bikes. He likes original condition, original parts, no mods kind of bikes. I sent the link for this bike to him. I said it looked like it just beeded a clean and polish. Surprisingly he didnt have an interest. I kept on seeing it in FB marketplace and I sort of sold myself on the bike. And sure nuff a soap and water cleaning and aluminum foil chrome cleaning, the bikes original finish is stunning. All I added was new tires. Original bar tape still on the bike!

You’ve landed yourself a great bike, I can’t wait to see what you’ll do with it. Everything on your bike looks to be original minus the nonexistent saddle of course, are you planning on keeping that way or modifying it?

You’re clearly local too me. I’ve been watching this one for days and hoping it would go to a good home. Congratulations! It looks to be in pretty good shape. Just tried to see if I could find a serial number on the bottom bracket.
NO such luck - I mean there is nothing down there!
I am thinking this is a '73 vintage.

Serial number is often on the left side rear dropout, if not, the fact that it has Capella lugs should mean 1973.

73s usually have lugs with little circles in them. I think it was the only year.

My '73. Freshened up the TA crank with some V/O hardware and a bit of Mothers polish, and installed a nice pair of Conti GP Classics. Weighs ≈23 lbs. as shown. Not bad for a Super Course.

Hello All Super Course fans - Since the cotter pin BB was a Royal PIA and needed to be drilled out, I decided to go with a FRESH Rebuild of this 1973 Super Course.
I really love what some have done to their bikes and this thread is great inspiration for more of a Resto-Mod. I am keeping the patina on the frame and perhaps some purists will consider it a Franken version. Got an old Sugino Bottom Bracket to fit this old girl. Not sure if I will convert from drop to something more upright.

I love to see these frames dressed up with quality components. They are such great frames and they are worthy of them. This one in particular. What type of hubs does it have?

The wheels are a Weinmann LP18 rim, Origin8 sealed bearing hub set I picked up from Velomine a while back. They're a surprisingly good value, not all that heavy for their price range, and have nice, machined braking surfaces.
I removed the stock graphics and added these from Cyclomondo.

I think that this will be my next Winter project but the seat post is Frozen!
Sprayed some PB Blaster on that area this morning so will see if that does the trick.

Is that original paint and graphics?! Very unusual indeed - the "root beer" color but with the white panels of the MkII. Most were either Emerald Green or Red. I LIKE it!
