Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Kind of

there's some yellow in there, and red, and blue, and the rider is sporting a grey beard, and they're Italian like the bike, so all things considered, perfect

ASOS winter cycling legs. Wore them today and they were almost too warm at 45*F. Well made and no sagging. Excellent product.

Everyday is a day for a cycling purchase

My most recent one was Restrap's Tool Roll. It still needs to be delivered. Read a review that it doesn't fit an inner tube, mini tool and mini pump, but on the pictures they do show all of these. So I'll let you know what fits and what doesn't fit.

scored set of zipp 302 for a roadie setup. Now should be easy wheel swap to knobby gravel mode without taking off tubeless tires.

Due to some age-related issues I decided to try to make my touring bike a bit more comfortable on long rides, so I decided to try the Redshift Sports stem and seat post to take some of the roughness out of the ride, short haul is no problem for me, but going for days on end I felt it was necessary. Just got them today, and won't be able to try them out for a couple of months since I need to heal from an injury. I also ordered a spare set of inserts for the stem because they won't last forever, and just in case they decide to change the design I wanted to make sure I had them.

Bought a set of ASOS winter cycling legs. They are super warm, almost too warm in the 40s and stay put unlike my old Perls.

Also bought two set of cadence and speed sensors which are Garmin compatible on AliExpress for chump change and work great.

I personally did not buy this, but my wife bought me some Silca Super Secret Hot Melt chain wax and the Super Secret Chain Lube combo for our anniversary. I guess she saw it on my computer screen when I was looking at it, as my existing wax stock was gone, funny thing was, I had no plans to spend this kind of cash on wax, LOL, but when I took the dog for a walk, she placed the order. I was just going to go to Ace Hardware and get some plain old wax for $4, but hey, will give this a shot and see how it works.

Some finishing touches for a long and slow build.

I stripped and painted a Cannondale CAAD3 frame, added a 1" carbon fork, and 11sp Ultegra/105 drivetrain.

These images are on all my drop bar bikes, just varying colors.

For my MTB some Renthal Fatbar carbon riser handlebars and some DMR V12 Magnesium pedals.

And I have 2 pairs of the old classic silver sexy Campagnolo Shamal wheels, but both sets are tubulars, but now I finally have a pair of excellent condition clinchers, as rare as rocking horse poo these days so super stoked to have found these, destined for my Columbus Max Somec.

Set of Schwalbe Pro One, a dura-ace chain and some stylish bar tape in preparation of 23 season.

Decided to keep my current race bike for another season due to the lack of attractive frameset colors in 23 (to me at least).
