Nasty weather, I'm out. Going to spend my day building up a 1985 Centurion Ironman.

1985 Ironman built. Pedals are just to debug the details close to home, will install some Speedplay pelals when I deem it road ready...meaning no repeat performance of the Cinelli last month with the bottom bracket backing out!

I’m out for tomorrow. It looks like we will be getting 0.25 inch of rain an hour in the morning. It should be dry Sunday if anyone wants to meet up, let me know.

(Pssssstt! Mike! The ride isn't till NEXT Saturday!)

But Weather Underground thinks it'll be raining then, too!

According to Weather Underground, it's supposed to be raining when the ride normally takes place. I'm guessing nobody wants to subject their vintage steel to that, so I won't be riding tomorrow. Maybe February? Perhaps the rains will stop by then.

The rain combined with the number of fallen limbs/debris in the road means I'm out also.

If I can't ride, then I can wrench. This should give me time to get my newest Paramount road worthy.

Speaking of wrenching, I got a brown leather Concor to go with the brown leather wrap on the Lotus. I figure, what with rain and debris and all that, y'all might see it some time around May.

With how much we pay in the "nice weather tax" to live here, we should be able to ride under blue skies everyday.

I know, right? I don't pay these prices to end up rained out all the time!

Speaking of which, we're coming up on another First Saturday! Weather Underground says "PM Showers", so we might be good to go! If so, I'm bringing the Ironman, as Guy and I agreed. Fingers crossed!!

Weather permitting, I should be in. I'm hoping to do a check-out ride on the '73 Chrome Paramount before Saturday. If I do, it will most likely be on the Paramount. Otherwise, I think it will be the Bob Jackson, I haven't ridden it in a while.

I just now got my second shingles shot, so I am iffy at best. It will have to be a game-time decision.

It’s already drizzling a bit here and it looks like rain in the mountains. I know the forecast says the rain won’t start until 1:00. But, being a Californian, I’m passing today. I’m off to swim instead.

Why get a little wet when you can get completely submerged, eh?

Yeah, the road's still wet here.

Let's try again in March. Ride canceled.

Yeah, calling off the C&V ride was definitely the right call....

(I took my plastic Bianchi instead and got in 30 wet miles. It was a lot of fun, actually, but not on a 38 year old steel bike.)

After my swim I also took out my CF bike. Just a bit of drizzle but crazy wind. I was happy that I didn’t have my 80mm CF wheels on the bike today.
