Nice find -- when I bought my Univega a couple of years ago, it came without a stem or bars. The same ebay seller had listed a Crystemblue for more than double what I paid for the rest of the bike! I was thrilled to get his discards.

For my recently acquired '72 Raleigh Competiton frameset. I was going to throw what I had on it to get it on the road but that notion didn't last long.

Bought 2 sets of calipers, just in case. The second set is much cleaner but both work.

I feel like I got fairly lucky with the deal & I can now check it off my list. That is worth something!

The world's fanciest derailleur hanger alignment tool

Abbey Bike Tools HAG (Hanger Alignment Gauge)

Why did you spend so much on a flippin' hanger alignment tool?

I'll tell you why. Because:
  1. I used to have the one made by Park Tool, and it was a fussy little source of irritation,
  2. my Addict fell over in the wind on an October trip to Mammoth, and the shifting has been crap ever since,
  3. I am a sucker for precision made and functional tools,
  4. my wife is a very understanding person.

Had to go grab from a freight shuttle, didn't know it was coming to me, last minute surprise. A friend did an art Colab with Cinelli and got this bike from them. Still need to get some more details on how this went down and who signed this bike?

Why I love the forums...

One I knew about and the other a surprise...

French BB from @Mad Honk who refreshed the races and cleaned it up for my sisters reimagined Gitane Mixte (the orange one)

And from @jeirvine bar plugs and brake cable guides, all of which will be used to build up a few bikes...!

Thanks both!

More pieces to the puzzle. I thought I was only buying one piece of the 3, imagine my surprise when I opened the box! A week ago I had barely even heard of Zeus.

I'm no expert, but it looks like the bottom one is missing a bit.

Yes, just a "bit". It's a NOS cage but it's a later model and I'm not equipped to swap cages. Yet.The one I needed is of course the roughest one with LOTS of chain wear on the inside of the cage.. This won't be one I put a ton of miles on so it will work for awhile.

Wow, an improvement on vintage VAR that recently found it's way into my toolbox.

Very cool.

Antonio is the figuerhead at Cinelli/Columbus, etc. since selling off the company to a buying group after buying Cino out many years ago.

Yes please... Especially the Ochsner&Ochsner as info is very lacking on the internet.

Frame/fork alignment gauge came today. Now I just need to pick up a height gauge to which I can attach it.

Cool Barelli pedals from @jonwvara that I just had to take the plunge on...and a bag of Gipiemme BSA and Campy rider quality cups and spindles that I don’t need but couldn’t resist the price...

Just collected this for £20 on Gumtree (like Craigslist), still have no idea what it is

BB shell is stamped Nervex, BB is Bayliss Wiley (only fixed side present)
Rear OLD is 114, front OLD is 95.
Derailleurs: Shimano Altus / SunTour Skitter
Levers: Huret
Brakes: Weinmann Vainqueuer
Stem Sturmey Archer Forged

It's also got a weird pump braze on: normal peg at the top but a boomerang shape at the bottom:

But the reason for buying it is to have something to practice frame painting on - something with lugs:

I'll start cleaning it tomorrow and check the date codes and look for some frame numbers.
