Your ban is coming if you keep posting crap like this.
As usual, you flat out ignore every substantive refutation of all of your "advice" and just insult, insult, insult.

By now you should have figured out that I don't care what you think.

Way back in post 13, (see below) I posted an thoughtful well considered reply to your OP, considering 2 situations, and agreeing with you with on one possibility, and countering with how I'd handle the 2nd, without commenting about what you said. You then chose to belligerent, and set the tone for the rest of this thread. So, it's Karma, you get what you give.

OTOH - if the OP taking about about situations where drivers are simply trying to be courteous then I don't consider this an issue at all. If you don't create a situation where the driver feels he must yield, then (other considerations permitting) why not accept it as an act of good will. In some cases, I might point up to the traffic signal so the driver gets the point, but otherwise I never make an issue of someone trying to do me a favor.

Also, note that most states require that drivers yield to pedestrians at intersections (double so in marked crosswalks) so if you position yourself in the crosswalk and stop with a toe down, you can't fault a driver for considering you to be a pedestrian who's expecting him to yield.

IMO - like everything else, it's about the situation, and one less thing to get worked up over.

I haven't flagged you, just seen guys like you come and go. You're a dime a dozen. And man, that political turn is both random and yet completely in character.

Huh? What in the heck does Obama/Biden or communism (two very separate and divergent streams of politics, which aren't to be discussed outside of P&R subform) You are truly an odd person but I think that political comment does shed more light on your need for some severe mental help from a professional and I again don't mean that as an insult but that you are crying for help and you should go get it and you have support because it is hard to admit you have an issue and actually deal with it.

Since you opened the door by calling me an a-hole I feel it's fair to respond in kind.

Keeping in tone with the idea of listing what you hate, here's

I HATE .....

1- people who ask for opinions but feel the need to argue when folks respond.
2- people who call others out for things that they don't like, but aren't their business anyway
3- people who deflect legitimate debate by making it personal and then playing the victim card.
4- people who lack experience or expertise, and try to assplain stuff to folks with more of both on the subject.
5- people who make up arbitrary "rules" about how people should behave
6- Hypocrites who say they hate people calling them out, yet feel free to do so themselves
7- people who bring politics or religion into arguments where they don't apply, especially when based on inferred stereotypes.

That's just a short list, but you should get the idea by now.
Just about the only nice thing I can say is that I'm happy that we'll likely never meet on the road.

BTW- this has nothing to do with my being from NY, I'd say the same if I were from Minnesota.

Also BTW - you never explained how your "right turn" method would work on one way streets.

Expressing opinions is fine. Demanding that everyone else must have the same opinion is not. Insulting those who have different opinions invites conflict.

Take a number, he has to tell me how a lane would be blocked for a u turn but be open for crossing by a left turn at the same time. I was there first.
