Shame riding the handlebar tops? No. Never. (Assuming one can brake the bicycle before all potential accidents)

Butt,....., , if you are hoping to be seen as a cycling stud.....
Depends on how you ride it.
Hands near the stem, low body position = almost looks like an aero TT position. No shame. Extra credits if spinning your biggest gear at 100revs.

Years ago, I was part of a group at the company I worked for, working with a local law firm on intellectual property stuff. They took us out to dinner at what I swear they said was "a topless place", which surprised me.

I was even more surprised when I saw that everyone was fully clothed and the food was all served on small plates.

Paying your bill with a wad of singles (is it 5’s now?) was probably a bit embarrassing too.

Well, tbf, it was the law firm who paid for it, so....

I swear that European magazines devoted to bike racing used to pick action photos for articles according to whether the featured cyclist was going to be praised (stomach looks flat, cyclist looks supremely fit) or criticized (same cyclist just took a deep breath, appears to have a beer belly).

People on this forum sure complain a lot about thread topics as if literally every forum doesn't recycle old topics or have "stupid" threads. The disdain for the content must be part of the draw.

It's entertainment.
There can't actually be this much activity and it all be legitimate serious discussion about all things bike.

Imagine if this were all serious discussions - a newb would ask a question, one person would give the right answer, and that would be it. Oh, except newbs would know to use the search function, so 3/4 of their questions would be answered without even asking.

Larry threads would go:
Larry: I'm going to do something stupid!
Forum: No! Don't do that! It's stupid and dangerous!
Larry: Oh! Okay. I won't.

Total snoozefest.

To be fair, the newb wouldn't have had much luck searching for an answer. I doubt anyone has ever posed this stupid question before.
