Is this some sort of stealth vandalism?
Are people sneaking out in the night and adding a "ban cars" sign under other signs?
... or is "ban cars" the name of the group that adopted the road? Around here, it's common to see signs indicating that some civic group has adopted a stretch of road and is now periodically picking up the trash.

^ That's actually pretty clever, sort of like naming your WiFi network FBI Surveillance Van, or the Virginia vanity plate I saw on a Dakar Yellow BMW M3: FARM USE.

adopt a road sign has been place for years. Ban Cars is new. Since the sign and the rivets on the pole look real, I expect Wa. County is just happy to take money from whom ever offers to buy a sign. Now if Gugie’s publicist got on the ball, Gugie’s name could be coming to a road soon.

One of the joys of C&V is seeing where the threads meander to. In this case, strange hydrant configurations.

Kengo Kuma, Architect: The Bamboo House at The Commune By The Great Wall. One of 12 original houses designed by world renowned architects. The house is situated near the Great Wall about 100k outside of Beijing.
The 12 original houses are situated on a very steep incline and all have very special site and architectural features.
A very steep hill to climb even with the E.B. but worth the effort, you can see the "Cantilever House" (Red House) and the Great Wall beyond.......
My UCLA students and I have been fortunate to make this journey to see some of the architecture in Asia..

On a whim thought I'd take the Motobecane Le Champion out for only the second time this year! Setup for gravel path fun, spotted these a bit off trail.

A few miles later I came across a 'mirage'.

Abandoned at a dumpster, two flats, wonky brake lever and the drive side crank was about to fall off. Though pretty clean and complete, rear derailleur had been changed out. Could've easily stashed it and drive back to grab it, but I don't need it nor have the time to spend. Hopefully someone will save it.
