I wish we had done this before I moved..the co-op got most of the good stuff...anyway.

Tubes:
27x1 1/8
24x1 3/8
26x 2

Trek 400 frame set in rough condition. Has lots of surface rust and two nice sized dings in the top tube. I think 58 cm. Pictures when I get home. Might be good for someone who wants the fork or wants a real project. Gone

Motobecane plastic water bottle - very good condition - looks like it may not have been used.

Great idea! But I thought paying it forward involves the recipient to make a contribution to the next needy soul. This way we can perpetuate the generosity and not let this thread fade.

I don't have a Corvette but I do have an 81 Miyata City Cruiser that has been patiently waiting for me to bring back to life. See the link here about half way down...

https://miyatabicyclecatalogs.blogspo...alog-1981.html

It's a 25" frame and I'd say it is in very good condition. I think I have all the original equipment including racks, fenders, lighting equipment, etc. I took it all apart greased the headset and bottom bracket but most of it still needs to be reassembled. I'll pass it on with the following conditions.

1. I cannot ship. I'm really busy, am a lousy packer, don't have a box, and frankly don't want to go through the hassle. If you want it you have to either pick it up or make arrangements with someone here to pack and ship for you. I'd be glad to deliver the bike within the greater Seattle area. If you want a local bike shop to pack for you you I will drop it off, but you will have to make arrangements.

2. I'd prefer to give it to someone who will ride it. However, if you want to flip it that's fine but at least donate some of the profit to a charity of your choice.

My contribution is a bike I bought on a whim that never moves up the project list: a 1959 Phillips Manhattan 3-speed.

Positives: pre-Raleigh Phillips w/ chrome fenders, rear dynohub (AG) and light set, full chaincase, groovy Manhattan skyline graphic on the seat tube, cool brass Phillips headbadge with matching brass badge on the rear fender, 23" men's frame w/ two-tone white/grey color scheme.
Negatives: chrome on fenders is fragile and peeling; frame paint has a bleed-through problem of some sort, so the original grey/white paint scheme has reddish tones bleeding through the grey; bright parts need lots of elbow grease or oxalic acid to be presentable; hardware for chaincase attachment is floating around my basement somewhere; the whole things is heavy as heck.

You want it, it's yours for the cost of shipping (I'll box it up and send it FedEx Ground) or pick up in the Boston, MA, area. I'll include two new tires, too.

Another seatpost for anyone who has a project for it:

27.2, lower areas are a little scratched but a little time with some light sandpaper and a polish should take most of it out:

Spoken For.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Second item:

Steel Randonneur bend handlebars, 25.4 clamp, fairly narrow (38-40ish), originally off a 80 Schwinn Traveler. (no photo, but in very good condition)

I only have a few odd things to offer up, but I'll post them anyway:

Schwinn-Approved Huret derailleur - I recall it having some issues when I pulled it off an old 1967 Schwinn Collegiate 5 speed, but I didn't really bother playing with the adjustments before I pulled it because I already had a replacement.

SR Apex left crank - I only have the left side because it came on a frame I bought, but it's in pretty good shape. It is 170mm and from the early 1980's.

Suntour braze-on downtube shifter, also left side only - This came off the same early 80's frame, again missing the other side. I should have most if not all of the washers and hardware that came with it.

If I find anything else in my parts box over the next few days, I'll post it up.

Dang I was kinda hoping to see this thread stay alive with the whole goodwill towards men thing! I will submit a gift. Its the red single Modolo Speedy caliper in the rear. Maybe someone can stick it on something or just stick it in a box like me.
Maybe for a (gasp) fixie conversion? First to PM me gets it! Shippings on me to the US.

I think so. I think its for a recessed mount. Hmm........maybe its the rear. I don't know.......Maybe I should have checked that out first! Either way. I am sure I can come up with either bolt necessary.

I have a box of derailleurs, brakes, chainrings (110, 130, Biopace), a couple of handlebars, shifter levers, and other things. Do I have to put something specific up, or can I just offer someone the chance to make a request and see if I can fulfill it?

PM me with with what you want/need.
