I ride in running shoes - they have kind of a wide sole... these are the best pedals ever for my size 11s.

Perfect... I wear Supras which are skate shoes (I don't skate but I've got a bad heel and those are the best shoes for my feet) so they'll be a little wider than riding shoes. Most likely closer to your running shoes so this makes me feel good. I ordered pedals, clips and straps this morning along with some new handlebars and grips. Maybe Scrod and his shop guys will be extra-vigilant and get them in the mail in time for me to have them for the weekend so I can give them a once-over. Thanks for the added feedback.

Re-Resurecting: Any suggestions what size clip to use for 10/10.5 shoes on the GR10? Small?

I use mediums on my GR-10s and have size 12 feet, so small would be my guess.

I was looking around on RG I could only find M L clips.

Any plans to carry size small All City Craytons?

All City only makes medium and large. The only clips that come in small are MKS.

Hey, I just have a few questions about the MKS GR10.

If I normally bike with running shoes on my fixed gear (typically nike running shoes now, as I tossed my toms), would the GR-9 be better or GR-10?
Is it harder to "flip"?

Also, would this fit on my Omniums? The current pedal I have right now uses a 15mm wrench. Does that mean it has a 15mm thread? Would the 9/16" thread fit on my crank arms? This is probably a really dumb question.

First, never be sorry for your ignorance. Everyday is a learning experience. Second, I don't think it really matters between the two different pedals as they're fairly similar in design. For me, the larger platform of the GR-10 is better. I wear Supra Stacks skate shoes when I ride and the GR-10's with AC clips and straps feel really good. A Nike running shoe would probably have a similar footprint, albeit with a slightly wider toe box as many running shoes have, so the GR-10 should be fine. If you're worried about the pedal being too large, the GR-9 is a bit smaller and the MKS Urbans are sort of right between the two.

I thought the Urbans were bigger than the GR-10?

I was under the impression the Urbans fell right in the middle. Perhaps someone like Scrod can confirm since RG carries all three. Unfortunately, MKS has no specific specs on their pedals available online.

The Urban Platform is a few mm wider but not as long from front to back as the GR-10.

Just installed some 10s with medium Velo Orange toe clips and am an extremely happy camper. Size 9.5, Pisces.

I believe MKS Urban Platforms are also big enough for larger feet, have a stronger / less likely to snap off flip tab, and additionally have sealed bearings, where the GRs have cup and cone.

Hello and excuse me for putting together an old subject.

I am a French cyclist and he doesn't seem to have many users of MKS GR-10 pedals in France ...
My feet size is 8 US (7.5 UK or 41 EU) and I'm looking for which size and model of toe clips to use. For this I try to find the distance between the axis of the pedal and the front edge of the pedal to then calculate the depth of the toe clip.

Could a GR-10 owner take this measurement?

I also hesitate with the Urban Platform so I would also like to have the axis / front edge measurement for this model.

Hello Loris,

I have Urban Platforms on a touring bike which I like a lot. The measurement that you seek is 33.3 mm. I like the large toe tab on these pedals for quick orientation from a stop to get a foot in place before the cars overrun me. According to the MKS website the Urbans are slightly wider and lighter than the GR-10's.

I have a large 48 EU shoe size and the Urbans feel good. I've fitted them with large plastic double strap clips (ala fixie) which are quite comfortable enough with soft shoes. But I have to be careful with toe overlap on the front fender (mud guard) and 27" wheels!

I have these pedals on my FG commuter - they're not new though, I think 2014.
I like the GR10 a lot for riding in street shoes... they're smooth - no teeth that make it hard to get into clips.
And apologies for the English Engineering Units, but my metric scale is locked down at the office.
The answer is 1.7 inches.
