Best saddle for tween kid on drop bar bike
I got this Cannondale R500 with 650c wheels for my son who is about 5'1" and 100lb. This is his first drop bar road bike. I slapped my old Selle San Marco Aerohead seat on there, and he was howling in pain. It seems like adult seats are made for heavier adults, and the cushioning might be too firm for kids. Has anyone found seats that work for tween kids?

No experience choosing a seat for kids, but if I was needing to find one, I'd try the local shop to see if they had any "take offs" that might be tried-and should be cheap if you find one that works. Also, if there is a local co-op, or bike club, try there also. After all, I'm sure most of us here have some seats in boxes that didn't work for us, but might be fine for someone else.

My daughter was 10 she first got her Scott road bike 2 years ago. I got her the Serfas youth saddle and she’s ridden hours on end, several 10-15 loops with me and no complaints of discomfort.
