Wheel and tire opinions
I like the darker rims,but I’m not sure how the lighter sidewall tires will look. What your all’s opinions? Once I have some free time I’ll swap the tires, just thought I’d like to hear different opinions.

In Indiana one, obviously, can run doubles with a straight block on the rear.

Having just made the same decision myself I like the darker brown sidewalls on a red bike.

To me the silver rims and tan sidewalls make the bike look sleek and light in the bottom pic. The black rims and sidewalls make it look chunky and heavy. (Then again, I don't think I've ever liked the look of all black tires.)

I like pic number one. But then I'm not a fan of gumwall tires in general. I do prefer silver rims.
I'm also not a fan of red bikes. This one is a fine exception.

I think gumwall tires look best with light colored bar tape. Black tape gets black tires: First picture is best.

Sorry if this sounds contrary but I'd go with the black rims but with the tanwall tires. Red goes well with black, as do tanwalls.
Classic racing Ferraris had gold wheels and you can't get gold rims (nor would you want them, I don't think!) but I guess the tanwalls are kinda sorta gold, or as close as you'll get. Classic racing Porsches, on the other hand, in the sixties at least, were white with black wheels and I've always wanted a white bike with black wheels (yeah, I know this is Bike Forums but I was obsessed with racecars before I was obsessed with bicycles!).
As for the bar tape, certainly black rather than white, but fawn or 'honey', perhaps, especially if you go with the tanwalls (or even yellow, but I know that's a bit of a wild card!).

After much soul searching and deliberation, I vote pic 1. The tan looks out of place like an anomaly in the color scheme. Now if you had white bar tape. maybe different opinion.

If keeping, the wheels you like best to ride.

If there's no difference in ride quality, I'd go with the darker option. There's no other tan on the bike, like hoods. So they look a little out of place, especially with those, whaddya call them, breefters?
