Can you explain how did it happen? If my chain is dropped, it is normally caught by chain catcher,
but to make the damage from the bottom, the chain need to pass the BB somehow,
unless the bike is upside down, or something
What would you do to prevent it in future??
Thanks!

No. The SLR has a chain catcher at the top. This was damage from the chain getting sucked from the bottom.
In the end... it's fix. I took the opportunity to completely rebuild the bike replacing the bearings with Ceramic Speed, new chain and new cables.
Calfee does a great job.

It was my fault and I paid for it. Trust me it won't happen again.

A bit of an update. I dropped the parts I had off at the LBS this past Saturday. Along with the seat mast I've added a set of HED Ardennes + Black wheels (Used) wrapped in Vee Rubber Road Runner tires. Shimano 105 R7000 all around. The shop owner just sent me an email, going to add a black KMC chain as well. I'll try to post a picture after I pick it up. The bike will be as black as the Spinal Tap black album.

Come on, by now you know you have to show the drivetrain side.

Does anyone own a Trek bike in the Gloss Sunburst/Matte Trek Black color....? I would love to see real pictures of this color, particularly in the sun
puts my matte black emonda sl6 to shame. picture attached is the slr 6 which is currently below $5k and weighs only 14.5 pounds!

And here she is, 2016 Trek Emonda SL frame with Shimano R7000 group set, HED Ardennes+ Black wheels. I have my first century on it this coming Saturday.

My Émonda

My 2019 Trek Émonda SLR frame, replacing an identical damaged frame under warranty (thanks, Trek). Components were transferred over the damaged bike. I've made a few changes, principally switching out the wheelset (which was nice but not particularly aero and not particularly lightweight). The new wheels make me think I can pedal faster, even if I can't. With the wheels and a few changes of components, the weight of the bike is 6.7 kg (slightly under 15 pounds). H1 geometry. I went with the Bontrager direct mount brakes.
I can tell that it's a lightweight bike when I carry it up two steps onto my front porch after a ride. Other times, not so much. ;-)
I went with the Project One option, which let me choose the color I wanted and minimal decals in a classic Trek font.

Look at the rails not the padding, it is an ISM saddle and is not set up the same as other saddles. I do have some forward tilt to it, but not as extreme as it seems. I am very comfortable on it and I have already ridden one century on it (although not on this bike).

Emonda ALR, I have FSA SL-K bars, seatpost and stem on it, which gives me a super comfortable ride. Ultegra drive train.

I was looking at one of the Emonda with eTap, but I opted to go the Domane route. Nice bike.

2020 Émonda SLR Project One
Here's my 2020 Émonda SLR Project One. It was originally a SLR7 with Sram Force AXS and Bontrager Aeolus wheels but I wanted to see how light I could get it. Enjoy

Very nice. Which components yielded greatest weight savings?
