New "Vintage" Colnago
After a 14 month wait, my 56cm Colnago Master has arrived from Italy! Too hard to resist a brand new steel lugged frame from such a storied marque.
I was told that these are not in high demand, so perhaps it is only a matter of time before these are no longer produced.
I posted this in the C+V section because we appreciate this kind of stuff.

I hope they keep making a few steel bikes, and presume they may continue as long as Ernesto is part of the company.
It is hard to say what "not in high demand" means for a custom shop. I assume you can get it fairly customized. 14 month wait? It can't be that they are short on work.

Glad you did and while not a huge Colnago fan, I cannot stress enough that this far down the line that any steel frame, especially lugged is decidedly C+V by nature, likely most often bought by C+V riders and enthusiast's keeping the flame lit.Kudo's to any and all that keep on going down this road, especially old marque's that probably would like to and eventually will throw in the towel.
We are quickly coming to a juncture where new groups for these will not be made at all anymore, I doubt any makers will "upgrade" steel frames for disc's and full on electronic shifting. There will always be custom builders but they don't drive the market for groupsets so a sad day is coming, probably sooner than we think.
All this to say I think it absolutely belongs here and is fabulous,

That is really neat. Downtube shifter bosses for future proofedness. AND beautiful paint with classy chrome lugs.

I did reference the Colnago site, I am a mote plain paint and graphics guy, the Arabesque has the preferred paint for me, but the lugs on the Master are a better design.
the geometry page is curious, a few call outs are not referenced in the diagram. And some that one would want are not, like head angle and fork offset.
I know, the secret sauce...
They don't reference BB drop either.
That mentioned it looks like they have not altered the basic geometry for a long time, the chainstay length has tighten up to 406.
I think they should do an Epoca classic bike, like a reissue of a early 70's Super.

I stockpiled a full NOS Campagnolo Super Record 11 groupo (took about 6 months) and eagerly waited for this frameset.

Colnago did a great job. Front derailleur braze on "required" is cool. As is chain stay length changing for each frame size. With Mapei paint? ❤️

Beautiful bike and I was wondering, though it is really not my intent to pry - how much does something like at set one back these days?

Great bike and build! Curious, does Colnago still offer Gilco tubing? Did you have a choice of tubing? What is the tire size you have mounted? 700X28?

ETA- But with full Super Record 11 and Fulcrum (Campy) Racing Zero wheels, it very light overall!
