Addiction 2022.4

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

On paper is doesn’t sound bad but in practice I don’t care for it. 11/28 just made more sense. Maybe I am not used to yet.
Come on, big boy - you can get up any hills in your area on the 50/25. Big-big really isn't an issue on modern drivetrains. If there's any FD rub, just hit the trim and forget about it.

I mainly don't like DoubleTap shifting. But, eTap is fine.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who observe it.

No ride today, we are heading out for the annual Tour of New Jersey.

If anyone wants Spam for Thanksgiving Day breakfast, hurry out to General. I reported it but it may be there a little while longer.

Not that new - I think it's supposed to be the 11s version of the 11-23. It's been around since the launch or very soon after, just almost everyone runs 11-28 or higher.

Since the launch of what - 11sp or 8000? I never noticed it when I was looking for tighter spacing - four or five years back? - and ended up with the 12-25t. Regardless, the 1t steps up to 17 and then 2t steps to 25 will probably work well for me, though I've been getting along fine with my 11-28 for now... Maybe if I actually move up to the big hitters group ride next year, I'll appreciate the 11-25t.
