Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

About to get on the trainer for an attempt at some miles, still battling a cough, and congestion. Noticed this, looks fresh (no rust). Any recommendations on what to do to keep this from rusting?

Also, Zipps would be where superteams sit.

1,999 is this a one time thing, or can you make like 7 purchases at 1,999, as long as they are separated you don’t have to notify?
It’s a grey area on what number of purchases would require notification

Also, went ahead and halted the 3000 squats in 30 days.

Had about 5 days left, but this past trip I felt so awful I decided that I would stop, and after I missed so many days it didn’t feel like I should attempt to start to finish. So with that being said I did 2500 in 25 days. I don’t plan on doing any kind of measurement to see if it raised my ftp or anything. I do plan on cycling this every other month. Since it’s still early in December I think I will start again Jan 1st. I also plan on introducing weight each cycle.

Probably all in my head but my quads do look more defined from doing these.

Weird and disappointing you have that experience - my R2 creaked like crazy for all sorts of reasons that never turned out to be the bike. Always assumed it was the BB; always turned out to be something else.

Dude, you are golden. Find a nice frame set on sale, wheels on sale, group set on sale. You could have yourself a new bike and she would never have to know!!!

How in the world did you fit this in your marriage contract!

It actually hasn’t creaked since I replaced the BB, although last time I rode it, sounded like the duck might be coming back.

Its what my LbS calls it when ever they see it, Seemed appropriate.

the frame could have been treated / dipped / whatever (?) - before paint - so good chance it will be fairly resistant to corrosion

(regardless) the dropouts are probably high-end forged (or investment class ?) and are probably fairly resistant to corrosion

you could visit your local hobby shop or similar and find a small bottle of paint that is close to that color ... ?

If you only care about rust, probably clear nail polish. IF you want a color match, try colored nail polish or touch-up paint.

Ours were both in Honda Accord level schools, and I felt pretty fortunate about that.

If I left my house at 430 am, I could be on the blue ridge parkway by 6-630 latest, ride for 3 hours and be home by 2 pm. Wife would be cool with this once in a while.
I've never been to the BRP but from reading about it and the pics on the forum it seems awesome. I have ridden in the Ozarks and that was very different than the west.

well- when we got married I was 38 and she was 40. We both had excellent jobs, she was in the C suite, and my money is my money and her money is her money. We can spend however we want so long as we maintain a minimum cash savings level in each of our respective savings accounts.

Testors Enamel, or nail polish. Apply ASAP before sweating all over it.
