Cool.
Welcome to Bike Forums!
What can you tell us about this experience?
I'm sure we'd all love to hear the first-hand story behind the story.

All I can say the photo shoot in New York City I was the sorest I have of ever been in my entire life. I have rode my bike and 165 miles a day, 140 miles a day. I have completed 6 full Ironman triathlons I have ridden my bike 100 miles a day every day for weeks going cross-country, Blue Ridge parkway, writing from Michigan to the Atlantic last year. Completed multiple 100 mile races. Have won many bicycle races, but the source ever been was the next day after flexing my legs for 8 hours during the photo shoot. When not actively taking photos they had me lifting weights or riding a bicycle. They had a make-up artist work on my legs, sprayed my legs with glycerin to make him look sweaty.

That's about it. Got nothing for the cover other than the ability to say I was on the cover of the largest bicycle magazine at that time.

That’s a fun 15 minutes of fame to have.
I remember Bicycling mag getting a lot of criticism for that issue at the time.
