FS: Cranksets and pedals

A few spare parts to move on to new homes. Prices include shipping in the CONUS.

Shimano Ultegra crankset (FC-6500), 172.5mm arms, 53/39t rings. Includes Octalink BB (I need do have the NDS cup), $65

Campagnolo Veloce crankset, 172.5mm arms, 50/34t rings, Campy Mirage BB that I ran with this unit, $70: SOLD!

Coda crankset, 175mm arms, 42/32t rings. This came on a late 90s MTB, and it took a lot of force to get these arms off (though I did use a standard puller rather than more extreme measures). The extractor threads likely need some attention or install it on a bike that'll never need it to come off again! $25

I seem to have a thing for pedals lately. I found a set of MKS Sylvans and Sakae Low Fat MTB pedals in excellent condition at the co-op for $20 total. Couldn’t say no.

We are an odd bunch….getting excited about bike pedals. 🙄

They are well up on the Timex scale, take a licking....

The good ones, of which there are many take a beating and in many cases can be made to look good again and still work as good as ever.

If you mean the Campy crank, with 50/34 rings and a rear cassette with a 32t max cog, you should be able to tackle just about any hill you'd be able to with a triple, and you'll save weight to boot. If that's not low enough, then HTFU.

There are even 9-speed cassettes out there with a 36-tooth max, for lower than 1:1 gearing!

I just got a Mirage triple brifter That was the reason, not the gearing...I live in the lowcountry of S.C...however, I am thinking about it.

Im not sure about Mirage but with Centaur and above the left shifter is is a ratchet and would be fine for a double. I think Neal might have used this one Shimergo setup but a Campy 10 comes with a Max 29 cog, doesn’t need a long cage and that will get you up the worst of the low country bridge overpasses no problem!

Neal, I’m glad you aren’t putting that Chinese titanium pedal set up for sale. I’d be nervous about those.

I’ll check that. They are Mirage 8 speed brifters, with LC Rd.
