As a former Wisconsin resident, you have my sympathy. I spent a number of years living in four Midwestern states and remember how agonizing it was waiting for Spring to arrive. I loved riding the rural roads in summer, especially getting doused with irrigation water for a quick cool down. Don't miss the terrorist redwing blackbirds that would dive bomb seemingly out of nowhere.

on the plus side, a hard killing freeze gets rid of all the creepy crawlies and don't have worry about a gator getting my dog when she jumps in a pond
