This is weird, because every freehub wheel I've worked with has been serviceable. If the cassette bodies aren't serviceable, they're at least replaceable. And that goes for the cheapest OEM wheels for price-point Specialized, Bianchi, and Trek, all they way to Mavic, Zipp, and Aeolus.

Yes, the reasoning they provided didn't make any sense.

There used to be a time when a cheap fridge or a bike lasted decades without any service. I'm too old, I know, I know...

Anyway, I wouldn be grateful if you explain how adding loctite to freehub helps to make the wheel cheaper.

While you're waiting for a response from ProLite, I'd recommend returning your rear hub to this state:

And just trying to pull that cassette body straight off, with firm hand force. I just can't imagine anything like that being attached with loctite.

However, I noticed that a bit of the cassette wobble which is probably not an issue. What raises my concerns is a distinct uneven noise of balls rolling inside the bearings while freewheeling. Something similar to a gentle grinding sound. That's in addition to the standard clicking of the cassette. The noise is less loud than the cassette clicking though.

Can't hear this noise while rotating the pedals on the stand. Also can't hear it while riding, neither with pedalling nor freewheeling.

Do I need to be concerned? Go back to the shop and ask for replacement?

Also, the description says "The MD-10 is primarily differentiated from its sibling by the sealed bearing hub. The hubs are also permanently sealed.". Does it mean that the hub can't be serviced when/if the time comes?

OP here, status update.

Got the new wheel under the warranty, it's a bit better, but not by much. It is a bit quiter but the cassette still wobbles.

I had my LBS checking the wheel and telling me not to worry. The quality of the ball bearings and the wheel matches the price I paid, and the wheel is likely to last a few years. Hope it does.

It can easily sound different with no load.
If it doesn't do anything unusual when you ride it then it is fine.
