Looks like the F.Grubb took a beating, hope the frame and fork is straight,
I will install a straight wheel, see how it sits in relation to the fork blades, and measure the entire frame set, to see what the Bike Destruction Gods, have bestowed upon randyjawa, this time:-))

While not as many as Jawa (but I don't check very often), I've found some gems at the dump before too, including my near mint 68 Raleigh Sports that will remain in my stable indefinitely. Others include a mid 90's lugged steel Giant roadie (Allegre or something?) that was ridden maybe 10 miles, a pink Lotus Challenger SX in VGC, an Atala w/ Campy bits..and a few clunkers.
Just don't go there expecting to find them and you will have a better chance. Make friends with the guy who deals with the scrap metal pile and he will hold them off to the side for you when they get dropped off

In the right lane
I can think of two solutions:
1. Bikes for Humanity starts up a campaign to round up bikes before they hit the dump.
2. More C & V types move to Thunderbay to guard the dump.
Seriously, there are probably quite a few good bikes actually being destroyed.

Thrift shop scores have been plenty lately. Found two bike stands a few weeks ago, then found two more bipod-style last week for $2 each. Here's one under today's thrift shop find - an 89 Prelude that I picked up to replace my wife's World Sport, should be a nice upgrade.

Yes it's all chrome. I haven't measured the TT, but now that you mention it, I suspect that you are right - that it's before they went to proportional sizing. (At 24-1/2", it's not exactly what I would call "huge" though! )

This might be the dirtiest bike I have had in my possession. The paint scheme is a splatter treatment so that makes it look worse.
Univega Gran Record w/ Tange 900. It actually rides and works fine as is but not sure how with all the grease laden derailluers. Shimano 105 7 speed indexed.
I think the brake hoods will be white again with some Goo Gone. It makes them sticky but gets less so after a few days as I recall. It will get a complete tear down and paint polish, etc..etc.

Are the Mavic rims marked "Module E" by any chance? If so, and they spin true, that's quite a nice upgrade from steel Rigida rims.
