Agree and he makes specific corrections after his behavior is explained to him. However, he doesn’t seem to generalize or assimilate the underlying messages. That’s 100 on him and I get the impression that he’s been coddled all his life for being smart and never faced real consequences. The other kid was so “different” that they knew professional life as a series of scripts they had to follow and it worked pretty well. They had amazing insight into their differences and was very open about it.
Also, apparently he gives off a "Helpful Clerk" vibe, because when we're shopping, when he's not wearing an apron or nametag, customers come up to him and ask where to find things.

Had a nice relaxing ride with a very few C&V riders, for this month's ride. It looked like rain, and indeed we were hit by a few drops, but it never went beyond that. I'm pretty sure I kept it away by stuffing my rain jacket into my jersey pocket "just in case".
I rode Mrs. Peel, the 40 year old Lotus Supreme that was one of my first C&V purchases. What a treat! I tend to sort of forget about this bike, but then when I ride it, it's always, "Wow, what a sweet ride!" Makes figuring out which bikes I'll take when I eventually move Back East harder to figure.

I rarely take a camera on road rides, people don't want to stop while I take pics. Today a few of us skipped the club and rode in the hills and valleys north of the city so I brought the ancient camera. At the first scenic spot I whipped it out and the battery was too low to work. It takes AA batteries but there are no stores until 20 some miles out, so I missed the stuff I really wanted to get. Anyway after the stop at the store we went into the hills for a bit. When we came back down we stopped to eat then hammered back to the start, only stopping for a flat.
This road tops out at 5400 feet but we turned around early.
There are a few dips on the way up.
Interesting rocky stuff.
It gets steeper.

In the lowlands we explored a side road which turned to dirt. There is an arena for equestrian antics.
There is a nice park with bathrooms and water. Lots of cyclists stop here.
On the road home we stopped so one guy could check out an interesting RV which was parked.
He's finished scoping out the RV and it's time to go. He's on the heavy side these days but still an absolute ox.

Two new (to me) jerseys on the way to Atlanta, thanks to Ebay. A short sleeve Novara and a long sleeve Pearl Izumi. I don't recall ever having three active jerseys at the same time.

I wish I could've watched more of that game. I saw the Vols go for it on 4th and 28, and the Dawgs got a sack, but they also caught a facemask penalty, giving the Vols 1st down. I hoped the Vols would come back after that but doubted they would...

Excel has 105 Di2 kits on sale for $1500(no crank). Now- I know my wife would be pissed if I made such a purchase, but I’m thinking I would strip all of the GRX from the Aspero, but her a checkpoint frame or something similar, and put it all on that to make up for it.
The problem is- she says she’s not interested in gravel, though on of her best friends is always trying to get her to do it. She also barely ever rides the fancy Guru she has.
Sticking w. Shimano let’s me avoid buying 2 new freehubs and a new BB on top of everything else.

In other news, I just discovered the trendy shopping plaza in my new domicile last night while picking up some Chipotle for dinner. It was so exhilarating, because there was absolutely nothing fancy in or anywhere near Highland where I formerly lived. The closest trendy shops were in Danbury or White Plains, both 60 miles away. The Hudson Valley has its natural attractions, but it’s nice to be back around civilization again.

Never make it down there. Downtown Saratoga is nice if you ever make it up this way.
