So cervelo customer service is a little depressing. I understand that I have probably the lowest end road bike they have ever sold, but still. Response time is slow, and when they do respond it’s like talking to a robot.
After 4 days of going back and forth it has been determined that I have to take my bike to an authorized dealer. Fantastic. Except. I do not have an authorized dealer in my area. All I am asking for is the hanger assembly. I’ll pay for the hanger, just send me the assembly. I’ll even pay for the assembly, I don’t care, but there is no way for me to order that part. So now I have to drive over an hour out of my way to have someone say yup, your hanger isn’t supposed to move, and then order the part through this “dealer”.
Does anybody want to buy a gently abused 56 cervelo with shimano 105, brand new crankset, chain, cassette?

I should have traded it in when I had the chance but the wife said nope.
Anyways, I think until then i’ll just order the hanger and hopefully that will fix it.

Now my ritchey rear brake is randomly rubbing? Literally pulled it down checked the action of everything. Gave the rear brake some good solid pulls made sure the wheel would spin. Put air in the tires, went inside to eat dinner. decided to put the ritchey on the trainer, put it in the stand to pull the wheel off squeeze the brake to stop the wheel, release the brake and now it’s rubbing. Not a little rub, a lot of rub. WTF is happening to my bikes.

Dude, I so thought about it. I didn’t expect her to say no, I wish I never told her the price difference and just went and did it. yeah honey it was a one for one trade. No upfront money.

I was in a bike shop in Palma, Mallorca years ago and wanted to buy a jersey. A lady friend asked the shop owner if he had one in my size and he said, "Si, mucho, mucho, mucho, mucho, mucho grande." That's five muchos. it fit.
