Hello from Espaņola, New Mexico

Greetings from northern New Mexico!

I got back into riding last year, after hip replacements. I raced as a teenager in Tucson, Arizona in the '70s, and built my own frame as an apprentice to Colin Laing during my senior year in high school, in 1976. I'm in the process of restoring it, and build #1 is done. Maybe someday I'll post pictures of it.

Build #1, pretty much as raced 45 years ago.

The rider has changed considerably, however.

The Jamis Citizen 1 that I started riding again on.

I got a step-through frame to start on again after my hip replacements. It's been a trusty steed. I'm building up another step-through for my brother:

Rivendell Clem Smith Jr.

Kinda like the Jamis, but looooonger! Lighter, too.

Fredo76 not only should you post or look for amigos in the 50+ forum but you can post your bike and build thread in Classic and Vintage. Folks there are really going to like your bike.

I haven't been in a while but I love New Mexico. It is beautiful.
