What Big BMX bikes are you riding? 26"/29"???
We have a local Pump Track now and I'm considering buying a 26" or 29"BMX. Either a Haro, Redline, SE....
What are some good options on a brand that you like?

My neighbor has a big ripper. Only 29” bike I’ve ever ridden. It’s fast but it’s kind of more like a really light weight and fast beach cruiser than a BMX bike.
I think 26” is already pushing it for a pump track. The bigger gyros will be harder to pull up and push down, without losing enough rolling resistance to make it worthwhile.

26" OM Flyer
Have a 29" Big Flyer at home too, so i can echo what SkinGriz said about 26" being at the upper end --- The 29'er can be a handful on tight bowl turns, but its fun for other types of cruising

If I was buying today, I'd get a Fairdale Taj and never look back. Great frame, solid build, and the 27.5" wheel size is a blast. Best of all, they're in stock!

And fitting 26" wheels to a 29'er wouldnt work -- unless you dont like to have a brake - but the bike is physically too big -- aesthetically it would be horrible , even if it were hypothetically a disc brake machine or something. Im also leery of what putting 26" wheels on a bike designed around 29" would do to the bottom bracket height. a pedal strike on a pump track would not be fun

I was thinking wheelbase is the biggest issue hence my “lack” of handling with my 20” bkie that has pretty much a cyclocross wheelbase length…

Get the frame that fits you. Different frame sizes are available in 20” wheel frames.

How high can you bunny hop these bigger bmx bikes vs when you where younger on a regular bmx bike?
I remember 1 to 2 feet was easy on a regular bmx bike when I was a kid. Now I am lucky to hit six inches on my gravel bike. I am thinking it would be fun to get a bmx bike again just futz around on but are the adult size bmx bikes so much heavier than before it won't be that much different than my 20lb gravel bike ?

Got me a 20221 sunset fade Sunday Hi-C 29ner. Love the bike. Been progressing my wheelies slowly but surely. Anyone that is looking for a 29ner , just FYI. Fully chromo frame, bars and forks.

I'm thinking of building up an older Specialized P2 with a rigid fork to see how it rides on the BMX track...... I normally race 20", but also have a 24" cruiser. The 26" P2 is allowed in cruiser class though.

Riding a 2018 SE Big Ripper. a 29'' BMX style bike. I def have more fun on 20'' haro at the pump track but I bring the 29'' with me too.
