66, its great that you have started that youth group ride, and no I was not aware of it, but you ought not determine that all groups are not capable of SS.
My group is a little older, generally 16+ and they hold up fine on SS if not prefer it. It seems clear that his friend is older therefore he should be able to handle a SS.

Western-ish side of Maryland, Im not assuming that they are too dim witted to shift, Im saying they generally seem to be, i dont say that to down them but that is where they are.
