Hello from St. Martin Ohio
Hi,
new to BF as of today. I am a roadie exclusively.
I am 54 yrs old and ride a 10 yr old Raleigh R600 with
a number of modifications.
I live in rural Ohio and every ride is my own personal time trial
hoping to avoid the occasional redneck in a pick-up and semi trucks
blowing by me @ 60 mph.
I use a Garmin 500 to keep track of it all and my best time last fall
for a 30 mile TT was 1:32:16 which was almost 20 minutes faster than my
first ride in the spring.
Currently saving for a new ride to be purchased very soon.
Planning on a 2011 Felt F5.

Hey there and welcome to BF!
I used to live in Ohio and wished I had picked up riding there instead of hillier PA where I currently live and have to avoid Amish buggies and tractor-trailers. lol
I also ride a Raleigh road bike.

I too grew up in Cincinnati but moved to St. Martin, 40 miles east of the city,
20 years ago.
I love my Raleigh but it IS all aluminum and 10 years old and these bones
are looking for something more compliant but the speed demon in me needs it to be light.
I have connections with a LBS that carry Felt primarily so I should be getting a good deal
on the F5.

Oh yes I know. My boyfriend has a carbon fiber Trek and I tried it around the block a few times..it's like night and day.
