Nah, I'll bet the band clamp was never fully tightened and the guy was always wondering where that cable slack came from.

classic German bike from 1977 "The Raleigh" - $50 (Seattle-Pioneer Square)

This is a classic, and it will sell for $1,000+ at an antique store. It has the classic _suicide gears"
Take it cheap for $50
Thanks, Mike

Mike in Pioneer Square is whacked, as are many others in that area. The square has transitional housing and plenty of homeless. For a while from the late 70's the area improved, the improvement has waned and the area is better than the 70's still has many hobo.

I've never seen anything like this. They chopped the drops off and rotated the bar 90 degrees. Then everything got swathed in tape: stem, cables, whatever got in their way!

Semi-outrageous price for the grimy condition (what you can tell from the crappy photos), barely intelligible text; all good indicators of the deal to be had.

nice road bike i belive its a 2p speed 900obo - $900 (Richmond)

Bike is in good condition. I haven’t risen it in 3 years so the tires are flat
bicycle frame material: steel

bicycle type: road
frame size: 29cm
suspension: none (rigid)

wheel size: other/unknown

Yeah it's weird that a recent resto-modded bike would have an ad written by someone who doesn't know or care about bikes. Like when they admit that they didn't bother to pump up the tires that's a bad sign.
