While the drive-side police may stand down in this instance, Ernesto is probably choking on his macchiato as he looks at the bike trailer.

...my uninformed opinion is if I have to count the cogs with my finger in a picture twice because I lost count it is too many for this forum (I am good until 9, then I get confused)

Not as much as if he sees this once proud racing bike that Ernesto may well have personally brazed himself...
Sporting a Bike Rack and carrying touring garb.
And, a paint job that has seen 50 years of wear.
I just hope he would look at it and say... Wow... a SURVIVOR that isn't a "Wall Hanger".
Of course, it hasn't been brifterized yet.
Ok, yes, I like my roadside NDS photos Oh, we need better NDS Emoticons...

So the poll is closed and I'm pretty sure the mods would rather not have another.
Not quite the turnout I hoped for but not surprised after my fumble, probably should have another straight forward one.
Still pretty good and almost 80% against it so....
I think we should keep the discussion going so it stays in view.

Not sure I see the point in that. I thought we had reached an understanding with the mods.
If you want to continue voting, you can do so by not visiting the new forum. If enough people like the new forum to keep it active, that's good for them. If not, what's the harm in having it around?
As long as my threads don't get moved and we don't lose people from our present community, I'm happy with whatever the mods want to try.

I view C+V as history, the moved content is part of our/that history, much of it hard won by those who had to hack their way through it for the benefit of all.
They could have started whatever they wanted without stripping it from us but then they would feel like I/we do, staring into a sinkhole, IMO.

Not sure what understanding you're talking about, a big chunk of "our" hard earned content on a very relevant topic was hijacked with no warning or consideration that I could tell, I likely won't be visiting the new dump but many that end up here with less experience will not even know to go there unless they stumble on it somehow.

Basically, I'm taking a Hanlon's Razor approach to this. I'm pretty sure the moderators meant no harm. I'm a bit less sure that I'm right and they're not about it not being a good thing. I'm very sure that if we keep griping it's only going to irritate them and not accomplish anything.

Yeah, that was unfortunate. I think they were trying to seed the new forum with some interesting and relevant content. If it doesn't work out, maybe they'll move it back. If they move one of my threads, I'll ask them to move it back.

I guess we'll see, we're obviously at the juncture now where most all pleading and discussing will be labeled whining and griping but you know me, I don't let stuff like this go that easy, hopefully I can stay in play.
