We haven't heard from Kryten41 in over 4 years. It would be interesting to see how his project turned out. I suspect it's a lot like a boat. (Definition of a boat: a hole in the water that you try to plug with money.)

First time here in 'bent threads. I haven't been on mine for many years.

OP: Yeah my first thought was a Gold Rush Replica or Easy Racer, same company if I recall, but yes, that is a copy. If you get further into 'bents, I'd recommend Under Seat Steering, I LOVED that about mine.

I have deep in storage a LWB Linear (version that folded), used it on a 2 week tour towing a B.O.B. trailer. Mostly flat, but the few long hills were a bear, my knees were not yet fully aclimated to recumbent, can't stand on the pedals, had to walk up some hills. What I needed was a lower gear, back then would have needed a "limbo spider adaptor" that allowed mounting a rear cog as a 4th (low) chainring in front, now I would just do a hyperrange rear cassette. I went 'bent due to hand pain, it was super comfy, but I relocated to the west coast which is very hilly and am back on an upright bike, with aero bars and forearm pads to take pressure off hands occasionally; I've really learned how to climb well, standing on the pedals which I never used to do, I used to just spin up, but straighter legs when pushing are easy on the knees. Also, the bent was a pain just to get in and out of my apartment; Now I live up several flights of stairs, and a LWB bent would be *impossible* to lug up and down. My daily bike is actually a folder, don't fold it often, but can when needed to transport, and I've outfitted it as well as a real touring bike.

Maybe put a riser on the headset, then your knees wouldnt hit, and you could then lower the grips.
