Colnago Master Pił

This popped up on the local CL and was wondering what y'all's thoughts on pricing was.
https://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/bik/d/berkley-colnago-master-piu/7401000548.html
Completed eBay listing range from $1700-$2800 but didn't see anything similar to this one.
Thanks

The link does not work..at least for me.

Repost and test so we can see pics

I LOVE Colnago, and they are fairly rare depending on location

I'd be at 1500.00-1600.00 tops if it fit, weren't ANY dents or rust and the stem and seatpost weren't stuck.

Thanks, I was guessing around $1800 could be fair but I know little to nothing about these bikes.

Looks to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION !!!!!

Slightly small frame that some might say ...hurt the value. But if it fits then perfect !!!!

I might pay $1800.

That is a serious offer, and I think you should go take a look and bring the cash.

These do not come along every day for sale

Make sure it is in a PUBLIC place.

I like Mall parking lots or Plazas

Lot of money unless its your dream bike and its your size --- even if it was - i wouldnt want to go over $1800, a s others have said -- but 2k isnt that much of a stretch over 1800 . For that price i dont like the mismatched cranks and the brakeset i wouldve thought would be dual pivot for this generation --- but those items could be overlookled for the right deal

I'd want to know what shape the chrome is in? I have a 2005 Master in the LX21 paint scheme with the Colnago Street carbon fork. Given its age, in spite of only ever having gotten it wet a handful of times in sixteen years, and having been kept in the family room when not in use, both chromed lugs on mine have some rust on them. Aside from that, there is a need for some paint touch up here and there, nothing dramatic though.

To be sure, I have babied that bike, but it has been ridden, as it should be. There's a fabulous bike refinishing company in Toronto that can paint the art deco paint scheme as well as what is done in the Colnago factory. It's called Velo Colour. Check out their web site. As I have only recently joined the forum, and I haven't made ten posts yet, I'm apparently not allowed to imbed links. However, as I was told by one of the staff, they aren't currently offering chrome services as they have not been satisfied with the results from businesses in the GTA. Apparently, chroming the lugs on a bike is different than chroming bumpers and other car parts.

Currently, the Master can be had in Canada for $4500. That comes with the steel fork. I don't believe that Colnago offers any other fork for it. I imagine that you can get one in the USA for around $3500US. Total Cycling in the UK has them from between $2550CDN-$3000CDN. They works of art, especially the ones with the art deco paint schemes. Real show stoppers. I get comments on mine all the time.

Dunno who Velo Colour uses for chrome but I have used Mayfair Plating down on Carlaw many times for forks and have been very happy with the results.

Not bad for $60

$2500 seems pretty high to me. I would think more around $1800. I have a '92 Master Piu Decor that I paid a small fraction of that price for albeit I got a smoking deal on it. Mine is a larger frame, has Dura Ace 7400 series components.
