PFN10, has to be 1983 or later if the rear mech is original, the bars (and front rack) are not.

p.s. yes, it's good.

I can confirm it is 1983-1985, pre-1986 rainbow stickers. Mid-level model of some sort.

Nice find! The MAFAC brakes with the front rack and the Stronglight 99 cranks and the Simplex derailleurs would have been more than enough to get me interested.

Welcome to the POC (unofficial Peugeot Owners' Club ). I have had two early 1970s UO-8s (still have one; the other one's frame broke) and a 1980 PKN-10 (great bike, now belongs to my elder son, because it fits him better).

Yes, much more likely, I didn't notice the ukraine origin of the OP until now.

Front rack original then, a plus.

As far as I have been able to determine..

PY = something better
PX = 531
PR = some 531
PF = vitus
PA = something less

The suffix is more determinative of the style.

The frame graphics and the nice chrome edged, black plastic lion headbadge definitely says it's an 83.
Dang!, it even looks like it has the original Michelin Bib Sport tires on it!

I believe it is the "60" that means it is the mens touring version of the PF. There have been PX60's, PR60's and PA60's as well. "65" means it is a mixte.

This is a PA60:

Based on the centre-pull brakes and the OP's location, it would appear to be a European model, with the previously mentioned PF10 being the leading candiate. The serial number will confirm the year.

I thought Vitus tubing was in general same quality as R531, or not?
