Addiction 2021.2

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well there ya go. In 1995, or 96, I bought a Sora level bike, second from the bottom, and the brifters were brand new that year. The lowest level still had downtube shifters. That was to be my only bike with brifters. And clipless pedals. I was re-entering the roadbike world after fifteen years away, during which time I lived on a farm which was inaccessible by a roadbike. And Mtbs had not yet been invented, during the early part anyway.

You're never going to come up with any good joint drugs when you're working on cattle. SMH

We have a very narrow window for a short ride around 11 or 12. I need rest anyway.

Did you dine on the local spuds?

If you went last year you could have gotten them free.

My Irish ancestors could have used those, 175 years ago.

Then again, if they had, they never would have come to America, and I would not have existed. So it's just as well.

Hey, did they bury them with the 2700 Apple Lisa computers Apple buried back in the 80s?

No, because by 1846 a fair portion of my ancestors were already here.

They've already put up a couple of 100s in the forecast but we managed to dodge those bullets. Looks like we've got another:
