Lurker No More

Figured I've lurked the forums here enough gleaning info I should probably actually register for an account. I'd like to thank/blame the Show Me Your 650b Conversion thread for my current Fuji fixation. Former fat guy and a clydesdale by genetics. I was mostly trail running through the pandemic until I was sidelined by a knee issue and have been rolling full time ever since. Worked up my mileage this year to complete my first brevet (200k, 6k ft.) and looking to do more. I rode the 200k on my commuter (a 2014 Opus Zermatt) mostly to spite my LBS who told me it was never intended to be ridden 100 miles a week. That and few other choice comments from them motivated me to do more of my own wrenching and now I volunteer for a local bike non-profit and help tune up bikes at free clinics around town.
Also this is conveniently padding my post total so I can post pics/links about the '82 Team Fuji I'm hopefully picking up tomorrow afternoon.
Cheers!

Aside from the riser handlebars on it and the wrong brake levers it looks surprisingly clean and original for an ad titled "Vintage Fugi $50" Happily, Nitto Olympiade bars and Dia-Compe levers are readily available.
