Yeah, I feel like we just went through a really ABRUPT transition from "Short-sleeve jersey" to "Tights, long sleeves, and vest" weather.

I know, right? It's mostly in the low/mid 50's during the day, and into the 30's on clear nights.

Ayup, I got bored in Sacramento, and started riding around a bit further South. I'm back up in Vacaville now, and temps are similar to yours there, but more in the 60s F during the day. When I got up yesterday, it was 32°F, but that was a low point, upper 30s is normal. 🙂

But I may never figure out what's normal around here, the way you people play with the thermostat. 🤔😁😉

The cold snap happened a little early this year, normally it's a couple of weeks later and just a bit gentler.
Funny part is, don't be surprised by 80's in december or 90's in january. It happens.
I'm about 85 miles south, but weather is pretty close to the same.

i was all worked up to complain about the weather over Thanksgiving weekend, but the damned sunshine and mild temperatures wouldn't let me. Maybe that qualifies as complaining about the weather.

The only complaint I had was the difference between the Low and High temps meant having to stop and take off my vest and leg warmers. At least I didn't start out at 8 AM yesterday, when it was about 10 degrees cooler!

Dammit! We're getting a freeze warning tonight and predictions of highs of 48F and lows in the 30's with rain for the rest of the week.

Doesn't matter, because my rear (of course) tire flatted after Friday's Critical Mass ride (lots of fun) and I tweaked my knee during Saturday's Volunteer Trail Stewards workday. Forward and back are okay, but any kind of sideways movement is a no-no. Not sure which ligament it is, but I'm not going to mess with it; rest it as much as I can.

Well poop. All y'all got your hatches battened down for the big storm tomorrow and Thursday? And the other big storm on Friday? They're both very cold and very wet; which will be good for the Sierra snowpack, but everyone else will get wet. I pity those who don't have shelter.

NWS says we can get up to three inches (more likely a 1/2"), prob'ly more for you southerners, with snow below 2000 ft and winds in the 20-25mph range.

That was a pretty good dump - but NOT ENOUGH! Sure did bring down the bulk of leaves from the trees, so I expect lots of local flooding as the storm drains clog up.

By Monday, much of Northern California should be close to or above historical rainfall averages for early December. But dry weather is forecast next week. To break the state’s drought, many more storms will be needed, experts said.

@DiabloScott, we got nearly 2 inches over the last three days, and it looks like more tomorrow. It's frustrating, because most of the forecast reads, 'New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.' At least the trees are clean and happy.

Okay, let's get this straight. Rain is welcome, but only between the hours of midnight and 5:00 am. Now somebody get on this and make it happen, damn it!.

The rain may never fall till after sundown.
By eight, the morning fog must disappear.

Here I am again! 😁 I kept getting error messages when I tried replying, in several sub-forums, but my phone finally updated today. ✌️

Yep, plenty of rain in the last couple weeks now, with more coming yet. And nightime temps in the 30s F is the new normal, I guess. At least there's no snow (yet?), lol. 😁😉

And yep, those leaves are getting kinda annoying, especially when they pile them up in the bike lane, for the leaf-claw-monsters to pick them up. 😒 You get the choice of riding through them, and praying you don't hit something scary, or going around, which might very possibly get you squished by a vehicle. 😲🙄

I don't go anywhere, if it's even close to rush hour(s).

That request for only nighttime rain kinda works. It's supposed to start here at 3:00 AM, then rain all weekend. 🙃😋😁

Almost forgot, hope that knee heals up quickly for ya, Korina. 🙂 I just got a new-to-me prescription for Meloxicam, for my chronic arthritis. It's supposed to be a "wonder drug", lol, non-narcotic, but still very effective for pain. I just finished off my Ibuprofens today, gonna start this new stuff in the morning. 😵😉

I'd be wary of "wonder drugs". Hope it helps. My knee is all healed up, thanks. I even got around to fixing my flat tire. Time for a ride! Well, tomorrow, when there's light and not frosty.

Heh, I didn't mean "wonder drug" in the usual sense of the word, more like it gets good reviews, from actual users. 🙂 I'm still new on it, obviously, but it does work pretty good, so far. 👍

It was pretty good timing too, temps are down in the low 30s F in the morning here, for awhile. I'm glad I scarfed up an old Head ski suit, awhile back. It looks a little goofy, probably, but my knees don't care how I look. 😁

How's it going there down south? The wind has started, as has some rain. The Big Bad will come later tonight, with one or two inches of rain and 50 mph gusts. Flashlights have been distributed. I'm just grateful that it's 20 degrees warmer than last month.

Yeah. I managed to get up to 4910 Real World miles with yesterday's ride, and with the whole week off, I figured a couple 25s and a 50 would put me over the top, 5000 miles for the year. But nature has other plans. Still, its almost 1000 more ral road miles than I've ever done!
