Pedal extender for winter foot wear

the bigger shoes are coming out. I forget if I used the pedal extenders last year. but I know my shoes are wider than my pedals. even on the wide pedals, some of my shoe is outbound, laterally, to the side, w/o any pedal under it

anyone else do that?

I used to ride in Sorel style boots when it'd get to -19*c - I found large bmx platform pedals to be wide enough to at-least support the foot. I'd definitely have some boot hang off though!
