Im moving from CO2 to a portable hand pump since I’m going to be carrying a frame bag and can fit something larger and don’t want to worry about running out of air. Any recommendations? I prefer something that doesn’t take 100 pumps to get to 100psi, is light and has a hose attachment. Presto valve. I can fit something longer due to the frame bag.

Topeak road morph. It has a guage, hose, and pumps up relatively quickly.
The mountain morph is a good option for mtb or gravel as it's more high volume than high pressure.

I've used a road morph in the past and was impressed. Wish it didn't have the gauge (one more thing to break, more weight) but I have to admit the design of the pump is well thought out
Could I use the mountain morph instead?

The Topeak Road Morph is a good Pump. The tab to use your foot like a track pump is nice. That said I think the Lezyne pumps are an upgrade and inflate faster. I use the Road Drive, but there are some newer options.

I have a Lezyne that is very nice. But, since I went to tubeless 3 years ago it's never been out of my tool bag.

I have a nice Lezyne pump that fits in my jersey pocket next to a specialized road tube spool. Had a flat this weekend and used the pump for about half the airing of the tire and used the CO2 cartridge to get it all the way pumped up. Finished another 50 miles after that, but now that I've used the pump I can really see the need for a pressure gauge. Get a good pump, it sounds like these are all good recommendations, but be sure to have a a guauge handy too.

The worst part was that this was my first flat since 2019, lol. I had a great streak going!

I think I'm going to pick up the Lezyne HP Drive in 170mm (190mm overall). I race road occasionally, and my rides are mostly race training focused. That's why I'd carry one of the smaller pumps possible. Cycling Tips has a mini pump comparison chart listing the amount of pumps they take to get a road tire to 80psi, and this one rated very well for its size and weight. 190mm, 83g., and 174 pumps to 80psi is an impressive group of numbers for a mini pump.

I have the Pro Bike Tool on my tandem and it works great. Less than 100 strokes to get a 700x28 tire pumped to 90 psi.

The advent of sloping top tubes made my trusty Zefal frame pump stay with the Merckx. Silca Tatico is a worthy replacement. Cheesy mini pumps that don’t work when you need them made the Tatico an easy choice.

Wanted to report back that the Lezyne micro floor pump high pressure model has been fantastic. I've used it several times for travel and once for a flat repair. Extremely well made, lightweight, repairable and doesn't rattle when riding. Very happy with the purchase

Good to hear you're happy. I've got both the Topeak Road Morph and the Lenzyne HP (different bikes). I like them both. The Road Morph pumps a slightly larger volume of air, so it takes fewer strokes (note: the little foot peg is mostly for show, it is hard to use with cleated shoes and breaks off pretty easily, IME). The Lenzyne connection between the pump head and the valve is really secure (it screws on to the valve if you have threaded valves), and it is surprisingly easy to pump, until the last 30 strokes or so to get it up to 110 psi (this is a tandem, extra weight, extra pressure to minimize pinch flats).

I'm looking for a compact hand pump. Lezyne seems like a decent brand, although the reviews are a bit mixed. which one would you recommend? is there a better alternative for a similar price?

I have the Sport Drive HP on my road bike and like it just fine, but wonder if the HV would have had fewer strokes and still satisfied since I'm running under 75 psi on everything now.
