Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Obviously I am going to try to negotiate a more reasonable fee. Anyone have experience with this?
The facility that my MIL was last in had a policy that if a resident fell, they would transport them to the ER even if there was no indication of any injury. One of the problems was that MIL would report that she fell when she didn't to get some attention. When it happened the second time, we moved her to a place that would probe and ask more questions, then call to discuss, and then make an informed decision. Ambulance costs were crazy, especially considering there would be nothing wrong with her.

In the warmer months we get gnats are irritating a **** on a long slow climb. I have found that the top speed of a So Cal gnat is 5mph. Above 5mph and they can't stay with you. Thankfully, Sunday's ride was in cool weather. I spent quite a bit of time at <5mph.

Hot Take: "BOGO" should only be used when it's "buy one/get one free" and not "buy one, get one for half off," or, heaven forbid, "buy one, get one 25% off."

The funny thing is, "Buy one, get one" is how it NORMALLY works. I mean, you BUY one, and you GET one - the one you bought. But I suppose "BOGT" is harder to say than "BOGO".

Lately, Safeway has had some ridiculous promotions, like "Buy 3 get 2 more free" on 12-packs of Coke. So, to get the good price, you have to buy FIVE of the damn things. Or cereal - buy 2 get 2 more free.. Do they think my house is one giant pantry?

Driving through some rural areas last week, I saw fireworks stands that advertised either "Buy 1 get 5 free" or "Buy 5 get 1 free." It got me wondering if I walked into each store and bought 6 packs of Black Cat firecrackers which one would be less expensive.

Creakvelo is no more.

Wife said she wanted to go to trek today. I asked why, she said she wanted to look at Jerseys.

When we got there she asked to see the emonda. my buddy brought it over and she said it’s yours.

Shop is swapping all the stuff off of it, should be able to get it Thursday.

I was completely shocked.
