The music DougRNS grew up with is, uh, interesting.
This explains some things.

This is the only version of that song I own on vinyl. More horns, so you might like it better even though the woodwinds steal the show.

TCU - 10K student school (?) - beat Big 10 Michigan that might have 4 times the enrollment and then lost to SEC Georgia that might have 3 times the enrollment
but still puzzling TCU did beat Michigan - and OSU played Georgia well (and could have beaten them)

agree - TCU punched above their weight and made it to the championship game

When the score hit 10-0, I told my wife the game was over. She about took my head off.
The undefeated season was nice, but the schedule was not that strong.

TCU does recruit well due to the success experienced in the Patterson days, and it has money.

Rear hub noise saga continued from here https://www.bikeforums.net/22757132-post297.html ...
SUCCESS!! Last weekend I finally got a chance to put some miles on my Storck since replacing the freehub body bearings. All quiet and smooth, the way it was intended. Not only was the wonky hub noise gone, but thanks to a new chain and cassette, the drivetrain is running as quietly as it ever has. It was very enjoyable.

The wheels came off, it could happen to anybody. I feel for the players, especially the seniors. That kind of stuff takes decades to fade from constant memories. Ask me how I know.

Now there's something you don't see every day.
I'm gonna hazard a guess that's welded rail.
