Giambi also wore a gold thong under his uniform.
Couldn’t just be any old thong. Had to be a gold thong but yeah, according to the OP, it was not about his appearance
Worst analogy ever lol.

Gotta say, the fact that there's a couple of.guys who feel it necessary to publicly state that they don't find men in spandex sexy when nobody asked or even suggested that is hilarious. Talk about parading your own insecurities... In a panic much?

Yah, I noticed that too. Didn't mention it because I didn't want to interrupt a good car discussion.

Maybe they prefer hirsute men in baggy shorts. NTTAWWT.

Pretty sure the only dude in a panic is the one who started a thread with a horrible analogy about how sexy he feels on his bicycle.
I don’t think he would have used Giambi as an example had he actually known about the gold thong, but based upon many of his other posts, I don’t think he worries too much about the details

Yes I do, every damn time. Frequently get "the look" from attractive women, often much younger than me, so I must be doing something right.

And for the side thread, the xk120 is tops, the xk-e is a close second.
Does The car make me look sexy at 78 y/o?

Yeah, not sure how "sexy" applies here, but it's the old "runner's high" that you're referring to. Being in the zone.

I'm 55+ yo and 250+ lbs. I've also seen myself in the mirror recently. I'm not allowed to feel "sexy".

I sometimes feel like I'm "in the zone" and even better "at peace with the world".
But no: I NEVER have felt "sexy" on my bike.

In both cases it was in quiet wide open spaces in the west. Riding down Ohio Creek road outside of Gunnison CO.

Another time was in Coloardo as well. In the high desert of Gateway. Being a tiny speck on a massive, and sometimes inhospitable landscape, can foster the feeling. Each time I have felt it, I have been acutely aware of my insignificance.

Yes, I get ‘in the zone’ while riding here on the flats of coastal Florida. Clarity of mind above all. Ability to think laterally, creatively. That’s the benchmark for me, my goal in cycling solo.

I am grace in motion on my DeRosa or Masi. The epitome of pure and yet understated elegance. The perfect blend of refined steel and sinewy magnificence. Beautiful women stop, compelled by primal carnality, and toss their lacy lingerie in my path as I ride by like a jungle cat. And then……I wake up.

Following a period of decades of not being successful with women I started a business that simultaneously sold stuff and brought community together. And suddenly it really took off in both those aspects and based on those success suddenly I had swagger, which I had never had before. I then found myself surrounded by folks I had summoned, many of them female, that liked, appreciated, enjoyed what I was doing, and they expressed their appreciation in a myriad of ways. My physical appearance had not changed, but my perception in the community and confidence in myself had, and I was made aware of it. Some thought that was sexy, and they responded in kind. Mostly I was in awe and appreciative and confused by the whole thing and didn't handle it particularly well, but based on all that, the original post makes sense to me. I can see where a certain level of personal performance or confidence in such can feel outwardly sexy, and draw a response in kind from others, and be independent of one's own appearance.

it's actually suprising how many compliments women have given me about my bike. guess there's a lower threshold to do so and start a conversation.
