The premise to this quiz is that bears are dangerous. No.

Just because a machine switches the lights doesn't mean it keeps a log. Many of the lights around here are decades old.
Yes.

Our 45 mile club ride had zero traffic lights, nor did the 100 or the 65 mile routes.

Just learned that older athletes experience less thirst during dehydration. That would be me on the last two Saturday rides.

And to go further, this is one of my frustrations with companies (hi Shimano!) trying to weather the storm with their elaborate supply chains "until things get back to normal" instead of adapting and streamlining.
Also employers like mine wanting to draw a line under this and get back to acting like it's 2019.

For a century, the ideal stops for me are approximately at 40 and 80 miles, to fill bottles/eat, but tomorrow’s event is wacky. They have a rest stop at mile 7, which is ridiculous, then mile 20, but next one not until mile 54. I think this is to accommodate rides of various lengths like 25/50/64/100. I expect a super quick stop at 20 and a real stop at 54. There are a few rest stops beyond 54, of which I will likely pick one more.

I got up to make my afternoon protein smoothie, and while stepping over a dog my knee twisted, apparently, and sent a sharp, shooting pain behind my kneecap, from the outside. I hobbled a bit, after that, but by now all is well. Apparently.

Possibly. I do follow her on Strava but I already have her number because she asked some questions about the Wednesday ride.
She is a pretty strong rider, but she does not know the best techniques for climbing, maybe because she is from Texas? Once she learns, she will be dropping my sorry ass in the climbs. Sad.

I will take a stab at it. I know the body's ability to release aldosterone decreases with age. This vasoactive peptide/hormone is one of the main stimulators of the thirst center in the brain.
