So many of these carjacking/road rage videos could go just that way. How many times have you watched a video where "the other guy" gets out of the car with a gun or a metal pipe, and the person with the dashcam just sits there and waits for them to come start bashing on their car/shooting. Hit the gas and get out of there! In some cases they wouldn't even have to run the person over to get away.
Most people just can't compute it quickly enough to react.
If you've been military, police, or some other job that requires reaction to danger then you'd be pushing that gas pedal before you even realised it.

A family accidentally 'donated' their cat to thrift store when they dropped off their chair. He had gotten himself stuck inside the chair and they didn't realize it. Luckily he had a chip, so they are reunited.

What, like he can't swim across the gap? Also, how is that ice so downhill for him to accelerate on his belly like that?

Penguins are naturally cautious of gaps in ice flows because that's where their predators, Leopard Seals tend to hide.
It does seem odd that its zooming away on its belly.

Sometimes real life is more exciting than a Bruce Willis movie. A train hits a plane seconds after the pilot was pulled out to safety:

Is it "downhill" for him to zip on his belly... note that the herd is approaching from the opposite direction with a number of penguins also sliding... are they going "uphill?" Or is it that the momentum of "jumping" can be used by penguins to belly slide, regardless of the slight slope angle.

^This reminds me of the time I locked my brother out on the front porch in his underwear. He broke the window on the front door trying to get in, so I got in big trouble. But, I think it was worth it when I got to tell the story to my nephew.
