Thats how I plan on teaching my daughter. Trying to get the wife on board with the balance bike, she doesn’t think it’s necessary.

Pops is getting a couple of new stents tomorrow. His bypasses are blocked. And he did have a "silent " ( their term) heart attack.

And while there are longer in-town rides that could done in theory (and people still do), road debris and traffic have made them unpleased Russian roulette affairs. The last time we did that was when AG got the 3" nail through her rim, and she finally believed me about what a bad idea the route was.

Before a ride on a hot day, I rate my pre-existing thirst on a level of 1-10, and then take a corresponding number of gulps of water from the sink / hose.
