Kucharik clothing is closing today but still selling online till they run out
Sad to hear this, my first jerseys were custom made for our shop Bicycle Way in Torrance, California. Mr. Kucharik, Sr. had owned the bike shop but sold it to concentrate on his clothing business. John Jr. is going to retire and travel with his wife. I’m going down to say goodbye and hope to grab a couple of jerseys and what not.
Good luck to John, his former employees and his family for a job well done and to serving the bicycle community. May they have a happy and long retirement.

My first cycling shorts were Kucharik.
they were synthetic.
good chamois
i went on to European wool- never liked the drawstring.
I do have three Kucharik jerseys, not really worn much as they were championship jerseys.
kept in a box.

Kucharik had already been around long before I started cycling as a teenager. Two years ago on a trip with some fellow BFer's down in Arizona I saw this jersey at the Bisby Bicycle Brothel:
I looked and looked for a plain yellow wool jersey, as I already had the good folk at Spectrum Embroidery ready to do the flocking. A search on the internet for wool jerseys led me to Kucharik. I was surprised they were still around! Here's a few of the repros:
