Lucky. My first ride was ruined because my friend took me on a 60mile ride with 2000ft of climbing. But we got lost and went up the wrong hill twice so the final climbing was 5500 ft. It was fun....until the climbing.

I still get that feeling at the start of spring riding after riding 3 or 4 months in freezing cold.

NIce - when you get the itch for a longer loop - ride up Skyline, down the awesome Redwood Rd descent and turn onto Pinehurst and enjoy the ride through the Redwoods in Canyon before the nice little climb up the North of Pinehurst that'll plop you back onto Skyline again.
