Lastly, would i actually feel an improvement in comfort with 28s or am I wasting some money?
28 for sure, did you feel any difference after switching?

For me, there is a difference in the ride, but for most of my bikes, it is not as significant as others state. The bike it makes the biggest difference on is my Orbea Avant. Honestly, it is not just the width, but also the supple tires, Vittoria Open Pave clinchers, and the latex tubes. I have that set up on 3 bikes. The wheels also make a difference. I switched from 15mm inner width Vuelta rims and hubs to 19mm inner width HED Ardennes Performance. That added 2 mm to the width and dropped the psi by 10 lbs. in each tire. I can definitely feel the difference.

I saw a small difference when I switched my 25 for 28. It's mainly because of the lower pressure.

^^^^So much this.

Which is why I went from riding 28's to 32s.

Those narrow tires are such a harsh ride. Jarring you around which forces you to slow down.

Curious which 32?

Near triggering on 32mm Ultra 2's... yes 2's. Ran them tube-ass wired yrs back. 3500+ mi... ride was excellent.. rolled well.

Ultra 3's.... not same design/tire... by miles. Great value... just not 2's.

Yet MORE yadda yadda ...... Back when did roll out tests. Did S Pro 1's versus 2's in same 25mm. All SAME... wheel sets et al. 1's only beat 2's by <10'... this > 1/4 mi off hill. Done to exacting standards... usually my runs for same within a ft final result.

Jarno data.. admire the work. Came to ? the drum and real world revelance.

Think 5000 tubed on my #1 now.. better than 2's. ?? Just $$ more.. which really isn't main issue here. Lighter though than wired.. < lb rotating of course goes farther.

Bigger road bike tire has lower rolling resistance...
