So this appeared just off the local MUP last month. Not sure if it was dumped or dredged from some nearby land being developed. Kinda surprised no one has dragged it away, as you don't see many extended cabs.
So sketchy, even the tweakers are giving it a wide berth.

Okay that explains it. First thing I noticed is that it appeared to be an "integrated bed", like that short-lived experiment by Ford. I was sure Chevy/GMC never had such a beast.

I had the pleasure of a ride west of St. Louis on Sunday. It's a hilly area, heavily wooded, and not much traffic. You never know what you'll see...
turns out that someone has just installed a statue on their property. Maybe it keeps away the traveling salesmen?
The semi-rural area is a mix of old and new buildings. One stone house has managed to survive.
The area is considered to be at the northeast edge of the Ozarks and is mostly hilly. Lots of winding hills, with some nice views when there is a break in the trees.

Today was my first trip down the SRT all the way to Manayunk, PA since "the troubles" started. I'd been turning back at Shawmont Ave to minimize exposure. Once you leave the pavement at Shawmont Ave you ride the Manayunk Canal trail which is interleaved hard pack, pavement and boardwalk out over the water. I was pleased to see that they've finished this mural that I'd been watching for a couple of years. Its actually about 3X longer than what you see in this photo. And I noticed that they have added murals and other art to numerous other bare concrete walls, bridge abutments and spans. The trail has become a pretty neat place to visit. Very nice for that community. Very few people out this morning despite the cool temperatures, mink blue sky and low humidity. 40+ miles and a few pretty good hills before I hung the Raleigh back on the trunk. A good day.

After he drove off, Teresa told me she'd just returned to her house after a run on the trail and heard someone in her basement. She asked if I could phone 911. I didn't have my phone with me - and she'd left hers in the house. After a couple minutes a neighbor rode up on his moto, so we all went inside to give the place a once-over. Back door was open, so it appeared the intruder went out that way - where to, one can only guess as the house is right on the shoreline of Lake Washington. A weird 15 minute detour from today's ride!
