Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Or maybe I'll follow Kingpin with Over the Top! I wonder if there's a name for that genre. Tin Cup would fit in too.

Regardless, horse riding is in my DNA. My niece has been in contests and stuff. She has issues.
It checks out.

Nah. 55-60 and sunny is ideal cycling weather.

75-85 is ideal baseball game weather.

I got up at normal time to ride but it’s 38 degrees. Figure instead I’ll go bang out a quick 20 on lunch when it’ll be in the 60s. Also have track coaching tonight at 6:30, so I’ll ride there and back for another 22 most likely

Repeatedly hitting "F5" on a freight carrier's website is even less rewarding than doing so on UPS/FedEx/USPS.

Happy National Lost Sock Memorial Day.

I am sure each of us has at least one to remember. I was really bummed when I lost a cycling sock that had been specifically designed to match a jersey and cap.

I'm trying to get a person to answer a federal government phone line, and have been listening to a ringing sound for the last 25 minutes. When I started the call, the recording said the wait time was 1 hour. In that 25 minutes, the wait time has increased from the original 1 hour to 1.25 hours to 1.5 hours.

I've now been on the phone for 45 minutes, and the message now says the expected wait time is more than 1 hour and 45 minutes.

The efficiency of our government is impressive.
