I haven't got to really go over it, but it looks like its got 15,000 miles on the original chain, so the small chain ring and the freewheel are toast. I'm assuming the Atom free wheel is French threaded and I'm Not ready to dive into the world of tubulars ....Correction, their not tubulars, so that a step closer to the road. It definitely rates climate controlled storage..... The bike looks like it will clear 32mm tires with 700c and 38mm with 650b. I'm going to have to edjimicate my self about French standards and Campagnolo running gear, but I think this bike will be be my fancy French fender-less zippy bike.

'84 Peugeot Competition PKN Road Bike - $

I've had this bike since new. Bought June 1984. The bike has been stored the last 15 yrs. 23" frame. Reynolds 531 Aluminum. Extras included is a rear rack and removable storage bag, front bag, Cateye Vectra Cyclocomputer, ARX derailer upgrade, pump, extra water bottle cage. Pump works. Tires hold air. Being it has been ridden in 15 yrs, the bearing races need to be cleaned and repacked. I have the original owners manual and sales receipt.

53 cm. Vintage Road Bike. 'Recherche' by Dave Moulton (Fuso). Suntour - $1,000 (Linda Vista)Thanks for looking. This is Recherche number "060" in a 53 cm. (c-t) with a ~53.5 cm. top tube. The top tube should be 53 cm. according to the Fuso spec sheet on the Moulton registry, but it seems slightly longer with my tape/eye. I got this in good condition but with a hot mess of a build - triple with short cage and some other assorted weirdness. I built it mostly using parts from the bin but did order an NOS Miche cartridge-type BB and put my favorite crankset on there (Mavic 630) to match the ISO taper. If you want a matching Superbe crankset, I have one but it will need a different BB.

Have a look at all the pics. I won't list all the parts - they should be pretty apparent from the photos. There are a few scratches in the paint here and there but overall the condition is very good to excellent with no dents/dings or crash damage. The hoods are very ill-fitting but I wanted a place-holder versus having bare levers for the photos - better than nothing for riding also. I don't think Superbe hoods or better-fitting aftermarket hoods are too rare or expensive. The pedals are also just for test riding. I may have some quality pedals with clips and straps to sell with it or I have lots of Speedplay, older LOOK, etc - but the bike comes with no pedals beyond those cheapies that are on there. The stem is a jewel - a milled Japanese (long ~12/13 cm) maybe SR/Sakae. I will miss it almost as much as the Mavic crank.

If you just want the frame we can discuss that option.

That's about it. Feel free to email with any questions. I built this bike for myself at 5'9" but with short legs/long torso and accomplished most of the reach with the longer stem. The frame is probably better suited for 5'7" +/- but you might want a shorter stem. Can show most days if you are interested and would like to see it and test ride it. Great l'Eroica bike with a larger FW and perfect as-is for the forthcoming VCSD Baylis loop. Thanks again!
