FS: Blue Ciocc frame & Fork only
So i picked this frame and fork up on vacation in Florida about a year or so ago, i could'nt resist the blue..
since then i have gotten some other bikes locally and iv'e got too many to fix up.
I have read a good few posts on the what is it CIOCC tubing ect ect... and from what i understand its a bit of a minefield of info, so will post as many pictures as i am able to on here,
anyone who has interest can email me and we can correspond further, I'm looking for $300.00 plus shipping or reasonable offers.
points of note:-
1. It has a 27.2 seat stem tube.
2. It has a columbus gold sticker.
3. 126mm rear spacing
4. It has the Ten Speed drive logo on the bridge stay.
5. i measure at 23 inch seat tube which is around 58.5 cm
6. Seat stem is not included but is shown to prove seat tube diameter its just a fork and frame.
debate away on what tubing or frame it might be, im not going to state an opinion, its would make a nice riding bike. has some chips and a couple scratches but the blue shines nicely.

Nice bike at a good price. That is a Columbus SL sticker and you should see or feel little ridges inside the steering tube. I rode my blue one (Chuck, I call him) today and a wonderful ride as always.

given no chrome it's not a San Cristobal of any vintage (Pelizzoli or Bonati) but not sure what a TSD model with all solid color paint yet a Columbus SL decal might have been called. Their catalog shows similar all-blue (and all-red) paint but with Aelle tubing decals as "Tri-Sport" "budget models"...yours may be something unique that has no model name. found a catalog scan that shows them, also note that one pic shows they also bear the "Designer '84" sticker" so...who knows? https://bulgier.net/pics/bike/Catalogs/Ciocc(tsd)/7.jpg
Even those that were deacaled as "Mockba '80", "Designer '8X" (there were 2 different years IIRC), or "San Cristobal" still showed some variation in details over the years, so as mentioned these things are difficult to pin down.

And he was notoriously lax in putting model names on his frames, even though he differentiated them during ordering.
My guess is like Hugh’s- likely Columbus SL.
Alos have to say that Gary is tops to work with and packs a frame very, very well.

just read (more closely) the details of that one catalog page scan I had posted, and even tho there's a background pic of a red-painted frame (with "Designer '84 sticker) the specs only say the Aelle Tri-Sport as having blue paint, nothing about any other colors. Also for this frame the sizes jump by 3cm so in the middle range you have 54 then 57.

From what i see on flea bay i have under priced this frame, i'm surprised that no one has grabbed it last bump before i pull it off here.

I had a Designer 84 that was too large for me but rode like magic. Such a good bike and despite downsizing my collection the right size CIOCC would find room. I bet this will make someone a great ride and think someone should grab this.
Mine went to a bike mechanic buddy and he's loving it. Even road it last year for the Salt to Saint 400+ mile bike relay here in Utah.
Someone should snap this up.

I tried to sell mine here, also blue, but Columbus EL a few years ago. Not even a nibble so I gave up. It’s kind of beat up, so I decided to squeeze some 29 mm tires on it and use it as my primary gravel rider. I’m still having a lot of fun with it riding both paved and dirt.

GEEEZ that is tempting. A Coicc has been circling the back of my brain for years along with a Medici, a Bertoni MAX frame and few other oddish ducks.
