Marinoni Special Bargain find
A couple days ago I picked up a Marinoni for an amazing price. It had all the trappings of a great find: an old man selling his daughters bike, a single grainy non drive side picture and a vague mention of “Italian bike”.
I wonder how it found it’s way from Canada to the Netherlands?
I have a lovely blueish San Marco saddle for it and a blingy Sakai Ringyo crank with Columbus panto that I may put on it.

Wow. Nice. If you're curious, you can send the serial number to Marinoni, and they will tell the year of your bike, and how it was equipped.

I have owned a few Marinoni bicycles and loved every one. My present main rider is, guess what, a Marinoni with full Campy ten speed, except for the Mavic wheel set. What a great bike and it set me back $240.00 CND. I doubt that I will ever sell it...

It may seem counterintuitive or tacky but we get even more excited when we know what an amazing price is.
I have 2 Marinoni frames, one older lugged steel I got in trade for a too small for me Bianchi frame that I paid $125 for.
Was complete and had a fantastic wheels/groupset that I kept. The other is more modern like Randy's, great shape aside from a ding in the TT, it was free from the generosity of Riddle of Steel and I bought the DA HS that was for it.
So 2 Marinoni frames, 1 complete build worth of parts including wheels, bars, stem, seat, post, HS and a DA HS = $125, amazing?

I knew I was going to get called out on this. 
Unfortunately they are quite a ways down the queue, the newer one may get the big ding filled and covered over with another big white panel like it already has.
The older one is lugged steel like the OP's with red fade on white that is one of my least favorite paint schemes and is pretty beat up.
So many bikes and frames, so little time.

^^^^Yup!!! I am just now building my $20 Motobecane, I don’t know when it will be done. I have two more frames hanging in the wings waiting for me. Between work, family and riding the ones that are already built, there ain’t much time!
